Mission Overview: Pavilion Village, located just outside of Karatina, Kenya at the foothills of Mt. Kenya.  It is a place of hope, growth, and transformation. Our mission trip aims to make a positive impact on the lives of the local community members by offering assistance, building relationships, and sharing the values of compassion and service.

Trip Dates: Join us from April 18 to April 27, 2024 for an unforgettable journey of cultural exchange, community outreach and sharing the love of Jesus.

Cost & Payment:  Ground costs are $2000 not including airfare.  Airfare will be determined by the end of November and should be between $1200 and $2000 depending upon city of departure.  A deposit of $500 is due upon acceptance, with an additional $1000 due by November 15 (at which time airline tickets will be purchased).  Monthly payments should be made thereafter full payment being due no later than March 15.  Individuals joining th teqm after November 15 will require a $1500 deposit and be excepted conditionally upon being able to obtain airline tickets.

About Pavilion Village: In 2005 Elisa French dreamed of building a home for the many orphans who she saw while visiting Nanyuki, Kenya.  Today, through many generous donations and the partnership of Agape Fellowship Centers in Kenya, that dream is a reality.  Since 2006, Pavilion Village has been home to more than 45 orphaned children and has both a full time and part time on site staff (who live and work on site while caring for children of their own).

Mission Objectives:

  1. Infrastructure Development: Participate in construction projects to improve the home's facilities.  In April 2024 we will be constructing a large outdoor kitchen to replace the existing structure.

  2. Children's Ministry:  Engage in VBS style activities, including traditional dance, music, and sharing of stories, to strengthen encourage and demonstrate the love of Christ for children age 4-14.

  3. Empowerment Workshops: Organize skill-building workshops on topics such as entrepreneurship, life skills, vocational training, and financial literacy.

  4. Equipping Leaders:  Teach or assist with hosting responsibilities to train and equip local pastors and spiritual leaders.

  5. Center Shot:  Assist in the implementation of an archery program as a tool to help reach the community with the Gospel.

Accommodation and Logistics: During your stay, you'll experience the local culture by staying in designated accommodations within the community. Our team will provide guidance on travel arrangements, packing essentials, and cultural sensitivity to ensure a comfortable and meaningful experience.
